• A:Answer Thanks for your inquiry. This lamp (The Archer) has a maximum height of 55" and can adjust downward via the counterbalance in the center of the lamp. For a better photo of how the lamp adjust visit Ottlite's homepage via: www.ottlite.com. All of Ottlite's products produces a 1 O'clock afternoon sunshine without the harmful heat, rays or glare. Floor and table lamps all produce the type of light Dr. Ott invented. Would not really consider a floor lamp for some type of task like using on a desk or tabletop.
