  • Questionwhat is the part no. for the joystick for the Arcade 1 up model # PAC-A-30211 and where can I purchase it?

    Asked by Willie.

    • Answer I don't know what the joystick's part number is. However, that may be found inside the joystick assembly. Most likely, you will need to see if Arcade1up sells that part for this cabinet. However, some users will replace the stock joystick, and buttons for ones that are of a higher quality. Be advised, the Pac-Man Deluxe, and Class of 81 Deluxe cabinets have their control deck, and monitor all built onto one unified bezel, and the panel just below the bezel/control panel blocks access to the plastic cover which protects the controllers, and encoder. This means the cabinet has to be partially disassembled, and then entire bezel has to be removed, in order to access the controls. So, if you don't already have this cabinet, and you intend to mod it with better controls, have the new controls on hand, and do the modification prior to completing the monitor/control panel installation step. For part replacement from Arcade1up, check their website's knowledge base.

  • QuestionCan I add (or have you add) "GORF" to this setup? If so, at what cost?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer It's not possible to add new games to this cabinet. You'd have to modify the cabinet with a Raspbery Pi, or PC, running emulation software. Modding is not easy, as you'd have to install a new encoder to work with the PC or Pi. The is a Partycade of Defender 40th, which has Gorf on it. I think there is another Arcade1up cabinet out there, which has it, too.

  • QuestionDear Sirs. Excuse me but do you sell a machine that plays DEFENDER ???

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Not sure if Best Buy sells it, or not, but look for Defender 40th Anniversary edition, and Midway Legacy Edition cabinets. These have Defender on them. Also, I think the Joust Legacy Edition cabinet has Defender on it, as well, but Joust Legacy uses a crappy, washed out TN monitor. The other ones use the nice BOE monitors. :)

  • QuestionHow much set up is required

    Asked by Jr.

    • Answer Depends on the individual. For me, it takes several hours to assemble an Arcade1up cabinet, but younger folks can do it in less time, maybe an hour, or so. Once assembled, it's just a few minutes to go through the wifi setup, if the cabinet has that feature. Otherwise, just plug it in, and have fun. :)
