No if you are referring to their larger units they have more advanced protection than the mr 4000 such as better power filtering. If you have some what high end audio components such as power amps or subwoofers than the mr 5400pm would be a nicer option with power banks allowing you to have more power when you music calls for it without harming your gear. If you have some bookshelf speakers that are not crazy expensive like I do I went for the mr 4000 because its smaller and more compact and still gave me my AVM and power filtration as well. If you have less than 8 you can still use all of their lineup regardless if you have less devices plugged into them.
