“My 1200 watt Panasonic Inverter microwave is about 4 months old. I just tried setting it with time and power level which registered in the screen, but when pressing start it does not turn on. I tried resetting the child latch, but that didn’t work.”

You may wish to re-check your child lock/unlock settings, we experienced several power outages recently and had to unlock it several times, but without any problems except having to look up the combination of buttons to press. I rated the oven only 4 stars because of the child lock nag.

To deactivate the child lock, please press these buttons in this sequence: Turbo Defrost -> Timer (More) -> Popcorn. For cooking, we recommend first setting the power level by pressing the Power level button first, and then setting up the cooking time using the Number pad. Afterwards, please press Start to start cooking. We hope this helps! - F
