“How loud is the "beep" when entering your power/time choice, and when the cooking is completed? I was wondering if the beeping sound is excessively loud. All microwaves beep, but I have a ten-year-old Samsung that can wake the dead. The only option is to turn it off or on, but it cannot be lowered. Just wanted to hear some opinions.”

The beep is not very loud or long. It is not annoying at all to me.

The beep is loud enough to hear it just outside of the room but not blaring. Also, the tone of the beep is rather pleasant compared to others I have heard. It beeps 5 times when it is done.

Normal beep. Doesn't disturb me at all. On another matter, though: while running, the microwave messes up the wifi signal within about 10 feet and a digital scale that sits atop the oven goes haywire.

Panasonic's microwaves all have the same beep length and volume that we believe is comfortable to your ears yet still loud enough to alert you.
