• Yes! And it's plenty bright enough if you're in a dark kitchen to still see what you're doing. Though, the number pad does NOT light up.

• yes, otherwise how would you be able to see the food. When the oven is off the light is off.

• Yes from what I have seen it does. I know this because my son likes to grab his food out and not close it. It has stayed on for up to 30 minutes or so as I would come down to it still being left open.
