“The handsets/base continually display\ies "New Voice Mail" This question was answered by stating press and hold down the pound sign till you hear a beep on the handset (mentioned in the manual also) BUT it does not work. The display goes away for 5 min then comes back. I do not have a voice mail anywhere. This phone less than a month old.”

Hi Ali, if this message keep coming back, most probably you have voice mail service. For you to make sure, check if you get a stutter tone (series of beep sound) before the dial tone. You can also calling your number using your cellphone the phone is being used. You shou get a busy signal, but if not that means that you have voicemail service.
