- Answer Thank you for your question. This means that you can add another 5 handsets if you need more in the future. A base unit can have a maximum of 6 handsets connected. This is a base with a single handset. Additional Cordless handsets may be purchased separately if needed.

- Answer Depends on a lot of things -- how far from base you keep it, how many calls you get that activate the ringer for multiple rings, etc. I put it back on the base for charging when it's down to only one bar -- usually every other day or so.
