A:AnswerI'm not even sure that it beeps when a message is recorded. The way we know is by looking at the message indicator which will be non-zero when there is a message on the machine. What if you're not home when the message is recorded? Whatever tone is produced will not be heard anyway. And generally, phones with answering machines don't beep continuously when a message has been recorded (to my knowledge). Hope this helps.

A:Answeryes you can. Just have to go into the menu. I got this for my mom, she just uses the base to get her messages, but when I was setting it up I saw that you could do it on the phone in the menu.
