• Hi, Jean! You will need to enable call screening. Press MENU # 3 1 0 and go to ON then press SAVE. Hope this helps! -M

• The answering machine has a separate volume control (which I have not yet tried) or just pick up the phone after the designated ring (4x default) and listen in as the message is left.

• You’ll find that in the written instructions. You can choose the sound of the recording coming from either the remote handsets or the the base unit.
