“How long do the rechargeable batteries in the handsets last? I bought the Panasonic KXTGD562G with 2 handset in January, 2019 and the remote handsets reception is "crackly". Could the batteries be bad, or is something defective? Warranty still good?”

I am on my 3rd panasonic phone land line system in 20 years (or so). I find the batteries last 5+ years.
