I've been trying to set up a KX-TGD56 for my aunt, to go cell phone only. This saves at least $30/month with MetroPCS instead of AT&T "landline". The bummer is, it seems the Panasonic's answering machine only works with a land line. It cannot be programmed to answer the cell call and take a message after X rings. The aging auntie is not gonna be able to dig through the android screens to get messages - and you can't screen calls in real time either. Seems like other vendors also fail to support this behavior. I am quite disappointed.

Everything else as advertised works OK but NO messages after 2 rings. Your Trouble shooting says it does NOT answer / record cellular phones ONLY land line of which I don't have anymore!!! Probably reconnect my x-link system as that worked fine!!!!! Big mistake in buying this link2cell device as answering device is mute on cell calls, even both 1 and 2!!
