• Only the base needs to be hooked to a phone jack. The remaining phones come with a charging station that just needs to be plugged into power to charge them.

• Only the base unit needs connected to a phone jack. All phones do need plugged into power to keep them charged up.

• Just the base unit needs to hook up to a phone jack. I have mine in the master bedroom and the phones all over the house.
