• Hi! The difference between them is the number of handsets. Also, KX-TGD863 comes with 3 handsets, meanwhile, KX-TGD862 comes with 2 handsets. Hope this helps! -C

• The only difference between them is the color scheme. If you prefer the color scheme of the KX-TGD863, I believe you have no choice but to accept it with 3 handsets. Having a spare could be a good thing.
