“Will the answering function work if you are currently using the phone? I am thinking not as I believe that will need voicemail.”

• Hi! The answering machine from the Panasonic base does not work while you are on the phone, therefore, you will need to activate your voicemail from the provider, that will work if you are on the phone already. -A

• No, the phone voicemail feature will not accept another incoming call to record if you are talking on the phone. However, if you use this phone system with MagicJack a new incoming call would be routed to your MagicJack voice mail and be recorded.
