I have not had a problem with the range of the phone. It transmits from the front of my house to the backyard with no problem. My lot is 50' X 100'. The display is 31/4" x 2". The numbers are large and easy to see on the BASE unit. The HANDSET display is smaller, but the name of the person calling is large, and numbers are smaller because it displays the number calling along with the area code and the date and time. example: HANDSET ALEX-( the name is larger than the numbers, easy to see) 222-2222 1-222-222-2222 10:30AM or PM Mar. 2 You can adjust the contrast of the screen, and adjust the volume of the speaker phone, which can be very loud. The phone also speaks the number calling along with the person who is calling. This phone has great features along with Bluetooth compatibility. I like it very much. BTW, I am using it with the MagicJack phone service
