Q: Are the numbers on the base and handsets large enough for seniors to see? What is the range of the handset and is there a volume control for speaker phone? Thanks

A: I have not had a problem with the range of the phone. It transmits from the front of my house to the backyard with no problem. My lot is 50' X 100'. The display is 31/4" x 2". The numbers are large and easy to see on the BASE unit. The HANDSET display is smaller, but the name of the person calling is large, and numbers are smaller because it displays the number calling along with the area code and the date and time. example: HANDSET ALEX-( the name is larger than the numbers, easy to see) 222-2222 1-222-222-2222 10:30AM or PM Mar. 2 You can adjust the contrast of the screen, and adjust the volume of the speaker phone, which can be very loud. The phone also speaks the number calling along with the person who is calling. This phone has great features along with Bluetooth compatibility. I like it very much. BTW, I am using it with the MagicJack phone service

crystal clear reception
I don't have a cell phone, so I purchased this phone because I wanted a land line. I wanted a Panasonic phone because I think they are the best. The base unit display is large which is a plus. The phone speaks the name of the person calling which is impressive. This phone is connected through the magic jack device and works great, crystal clear sound. There are to many features to comment on, all positive, so read the specs or the manual if you're interested.

Excellent recorded messages
I bought this phone because the AT&T answering machine we had did not have very clear message recording. This phone makes it easier to understand any messages left by callers. We have not even tried the cordless phone that comes with it. This phone is hung up on the wall in the kitchen. Fortunately, it mounts using the same screws that mounted the AT&T phone. The display is easy to read even without the backlight, but when you push a button the backlight comes on and it is REALLY easy to read the display. The phone book is easy to set up and use. We did buy a longer cord for the handset.
