“One product review said that the answering machine on this phone does not record messages sent from cell phones. Is this accurate? If so, the answering machine would be virtually useless since most people use cell phones to make calls and leave messages”

this system definitely does receive messages from cell phones...we have received many recorded messages from cell phones...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You are correct! I turned off the answering machine on this phone. I use my provider voicemail system on the landline and the cell phone provider voicemail. Keep in mind that the landline voicemail will still notify you on your wireless device if you have a voicemail using the special tone. The landline voicemail is much better than the one that is built into the device. I normally retrieve my landline & cell voicemail through email anyway. Hope that helps.
