“I assume you connect the main base to the wall connection via a telephone cable as well as a electrical connection to power the base. What connections, if any, does the second phone need (power, telephone connection)? Thanks”

• You are correct on the main base. The remote base only needs power, which is only used to charge the second handset. If you wish not to setup the remote charging base you can always alternate the phones at the main base and charge them both there, one at at time of course.

• The cordless handset has to be placed into the AC adapter ( charger) which is connected to a power outlet.
