Can I turnoff the faxing for the Panasonic fax/copier digital answering system, model #KX-MB2061, but want to record and listen to phone messages while on vacation. If it is possible to turn off the faxing, then what happens when someone tries to fax something, and will the person know that the fax did not come through? Thank You, Gary”

• Hi Gary, You can't permanently turn off the fax part of the unit, however you can set it's main function. You can set the unit to it's TAM / FAX mode where the answering machine will pick up first always, and the fax part is the only seconds function. So what would happen is that the answering is the first thing heard by anyone calling you, and if someone sends you a fax the machine can detect it and would activate the fax part right away.
