• I cannot say 100% yes but I would assume that it does. Think of any charger you keep plugged into the outlet in your house, they continue to draw power wether the phone is plugged into it or not. Now that being said this unit will cut itself off before it drains your battery also, the amount it draws is negligible, even with the cam plugged in. I run it in a 2097 Jeep and haven’t had any issue with battery drain.
