I hate having cords hanging down my dash. I recently received a dashcam and having the cord looped over the mirror down to the power port was annoying and a bit distracting. Not to mention hate having to plug and unplug the unit. So I bought the Garmin cable so I could hard wire it in. The wiring itself is about as simple as it gets. One lead to accessory power, one to constant power and one ground. That's it. Cable length was more than sufficient to run from the under dash fuse block, up the side pillar trim overhead to the camera mounted by the mirror in my suburban. Gives it a nice clean look and turns the unit on when I start the truck. Great accessory. Highly recommend this if you are not moving the unit between vehicles.

This is a pretty pricey piece for a parking cable. It doesn't include a fuse adapter, so you'll need to run to an auto store for that. It also lacks usable instructions and any mounting hardware whatsoever. For it's cost, and considering that some cameras come with parking cables, I wonder if it's worth it. It works well, though.

With this Garmin parking mode cable, it allow Garmin dash cam 45, 55, 65 to parking recording and protect the car battery from over-discharge. It came with a long wire therefore it EZ to hide away the wire to dash cam connection via car wind shield padding.

Not really much to say, it works with my Garmin 45 dashcam, it allows me to record things when I'm not in the car. My only suggestion for this is make sure you have a strong battery. This can easily become a battery drain, especially if you're like me and you don't drive all the time.

I bought this product about a month ago and it has been working great. It notifies me if I am changing lanes, red light camera ahead, if light changes and I don't keep up with traffic or if I get too close to car in front.

This cable works as advertised but I think it is Way to expensive. Also, there is a serious flaw in the camera software that comes with this cable. Parked video recordings fill up your SD card quickly and do not delete themselves after a certain amount of time (should be an option). Eventually it’ll fill your card and the app won’t let you delete all the videos at once. Very annoying.

What can you say about a cable? It works fine. I wouldn't have the Garmin dash cam without it. Installation seems a bit complex but I had mine installed by Geek Squad for little cost. Well worth it.

Very easy to follow instructions. Much easier to hook up dash cam with. Wires hide easier. All in all well worth the investment

Easy install that frees up my power port for other things , really helps hide the camera - no obvious cable hanging down.

Got this for the Garmin 45 dash cam. Wire tucks away neatly under headliner and pillar, and I got a few fuse-taps from AutoZone to hook it up to the fuse box under the dash - it needs both permanent and ignition-switched 12V. I get to see what's going on in garage, while the car is parked :)

Got it for my Garmin dash cam. You kinda have to do your due diligence to install yourself. Tutorials online work well. Easily installs with the fuse box piggy back fuse holder. Hadto get that at an auto parts store as Bestbuy doesn’t stock them.

Just traded in my old car and bought a new cable for my new car. The last capable worked great. Every time I started my car I received a report on how many parking mode videos I received. Also not having a capable running all the way to the center console of my car really cleaned up the look of the cabin. My install is scheduled for 11/2 with the Geek Squad.

I wasn't sure I would like this feature because I feared the battery might run down. I have had the vehicle parked for a full week, and noticed no such problem. a Very nice Mod for a very capable Dashcam.

Bought this cable for the 66W and had it professionally installed at Best Buy. Although optional, this cable is a must if you want to record any movement while the vehicle is parked (off) for extended period.

Works as described. I did have to look up more thorough directions for installation because I don’t know anything about wiring; but it was really easy. Took me 15-20 mins

This works great and was just long enough for installation in a 2018 Ram 2500. I combined this with the Dash Cam 46 and it's a great combo. I would recommend if you don't want wires dangling to your cigarette adapter.
