It also has a car battery saving function. You have to unscrew the device to change the voltage it cuts off at but it does work.

Get it home, and open the box. The cable had obviously been installed previously - it still had a crimp on it. Tried to install it, and the cable didn't work. Had it professionally installed, still didn't work. Was told Best Buy would check to make sure it worked before they sold it used, but obviously they didn't...

Posted .The Garmin Dash Cam will immediately begin recording video when it is turned on. It will continue to record, overwriting the oldest non-protected videos, until the device is turned off. While recording, the LED near the screen on the device will remain a solid red even if the display has dimmed.
