A:Answer The drone creates it's own WIFI hotspot with the controller (in my case an IPad); range seems to be about 150 to 200 ft, and when it loses communication, it is supposed to hover till you walk closer. Others have claimed theirs simply kept flying away, but that has not been my experience; I have flown it at up to about 80 ft in altitude and could maintain contact about 100 ft away.
