QuestionIs this Pc better than an I5? I have never used an AMD one before. Thinking on buying this Pc during black Friday. Don't know if it's worth it though. Could somebody help me out?

- Answer It depends on what you are going to do with the computer. In general, the AMD A12 processor falls between the Intel i5 and i7 in pure CPU performance -- probably closer to the i5, but when it comes to graphics performance you need for gaming, video, etc, the AMD generally has a slight edge, and competes more with the i7. Again, it depends a lot on what you intend to do, along with other factors like memory, drive speed/size, etc. For normal document, presentation, email use, they all meet that spec and the AMD would be cheaper. If money is not the primary factor, go with an Intel i7. If you want a good system with better bang for the buck in graphics intensive applications, AMD is a viable alternative.

QuestionI just bought this computer and am thinking that I made a mistake. My son is telling me that the Dell inspiron with Intel Core i3 1TB hard drive is a better computer and that this one will not last for me because of the AMD A12 processor.

- Answer No you didnt make a mistake this is actually better then the intel core i3 this is like the Intel core i7 which is better then core i3. And Amd is a better brand. So u should be good.

- Answer without the actual processor model you cant make an accurate comparison. According to the HP website this model comes with an AMD A12 9800 3.8 ghz processor. if correct, then this processor is comparable to mid i5 to low i7 processors from Intel.

- Answer This model has integrated graphics. You have free reign to choose a graphics card of your preference, though I would recommend consulting GeekSquad to assist you with these changes. Also do keep in mind that any upgrades may result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty.

- Answer Thank you for your question. This model may be able to run a game like Fortnite but you would not have the best experience. In order to really have fun playing the game you need at least 30 FPS, 60 would be even better. The best performance would be had by adding a dedicated GPU to this model or getting a desktop which has it.

- Answer According to HP's site, the one USB Type-C connector is USB 3.0. There are 3 total USB 3.0 ports. Two on the front panel -- 1 Type-C connector and 1 Type-A (the traditional USB connector), and one in the back - USB Type-A. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05735267

- Answer That's correct, these new Pavilions only have two SATA ports on the motherboard. TWO. It's an idiotic move by HP, and exactly why I stopped selling these models. Now, you CAN technically install a PCI express SATA card in this system and easily (and cheaply) add additional ports. But it's 2017. HP shouldn't have gone this route just to save 50 cents.

- Answer This computer does not have a Solid State Drive. It only has a Hard drive. The computer will store files on your primary drive which you select when you install the operating system.
