Is this processor = to and i-3 i5 or an i7? null

without the actual processor model you cant make an accurate comparison. According to the HP website this model comes with an AMD A12 9800 3.8 ghz processor. if correct, then this processor is comparable to mid i5 to low i7 processors from Intel.

The processor speed is 3.8 gigahertz, so it is a bit faster than an i7.
