It is not tempered glass. It's a regular....plastic I guess. There are tempered glass options on Amazon for fairly cheap.

It is a screen protector. So the kids won't get it scratched since they can take it anywhere. Or can you be more specific what your asking. Just to make sure I answer your question.

Its not tempered it plastic and cheaply made. We expected atleast to be able to install it. But it failed right out of box.
