• No, it isn't RF like the XBOX controllers... you need to have line of site for it to work. I have my XBOX in an AV closet but luckily I have IR extenders so I was able to make it work for me, but it wouldn't otherwise.

• Didn't tested in from other room since we use remote while looking TV usually so it works best for that even if not pointed towards Xbox.

• Yeah it’s practically point and shoot, although I only use it strictly for the Xbox it doesn’t seem to be synced to just one system.
