• We had short hair dogs and used a product called furminator or furbuster. It worked very well on both our short and long hair dogs. Not sure this product is the same as those and I can vouch for the above mentioned.

• From what I have read, this deshedding tool is ideal for all dog sizes. It should be ok to use it on your Chihuahua. Thank you!
