• I don't see why not. This machine has setting for both beans and ground coffee. There's a special place to put that. I just wouldn't use flavored coffee beans in this unit. Stick to medium roast for best results.

• Yes, whatever kind you drink more of, use those beans in the grinder. You can add loose grinds in the separate compartment for single drinks.
