No, your bridge will be located in the same room as your internet router. You’ll then set up philips hue to work with Alexa and can have your echo device(s) in any room in your house. As long as they’re both connected to the same WiFi name, it will work. One just cannot be on “your_wifi” and the other on “your_wifi Guest”
