I was told that the light bulbs actually build a "bridge" within themselves along the way as you put them throughout your house. I am not sure that if you have the hub like 100 ft away from the bulb it would work. However,if you put a bulb between the "bridge" and the long distance bulb it should work. Try it and if it doesn't work, just get another bulb and put it between the hub and the long distance bulb and they both will work.

If your house has very thick walls, your Wi-Fi range might be more limiting than another type of home. The Wi-Fi range is only as good as your existing Wi-Fi network.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends. Distance you can get about 50 feet or so without issues. It's more about how many walls are between the hub and lights. Try to get the hub as close the center of your place as you can and minimize the number of walls between it and the lights/switches.
