• Starter kit comes with the bridge and 2 light bulbs. You need to buy additional bulbs as needed. Pretty good start up set when paired with the Echo Dot.

• If you are looking at the starter kit it comes with the hub, a cord to connect the hub to your router and two bulbs. The hub is enough to manage about 50 smart bulbs so once you have this kit you should only need to buy more bulbs. The app to control everything is free and does not come in the box, it's found online in different places depending on what kind of device you have (android, PC, kindle etc...). You would have to download the app in order to set up and manage the system but again that piece is free.
