Yes you can control them with the Switch. It would just turn on and off or dim what ever the last color state they where. Now, if you buy the iControl app for your iphone, you can also program colors into the switch!!!

It's been too long since I used the stock app, I can't quite remember what features it allows you to use, but basic on/off/dimming is pretty much assured. When sold with the white lightbulb, the remote can arrive already paired to the bulb. This will require resetting the remote using a paperclip, and then pairing with the Hue Bridge. It's not difficult, and there are plenty of tutorials online. With iConnectHue running on an iOS device (usually $5), you can customise the remote to control different actions based on number of button presses (both saved state and resetting the count after 10 seconds), or based on time of day. It's actually rather powerful, and makes the remotes far, far more useful than is possible using just the free Philips app. Using this app, I've added animations to buttons, can cycle through colour sets with multiple presses, and in my bedroom, a remote switch will turn on the lights with different colours depending on if it's before or after sunset. You're right, won't be able to hold a button to increase the amount of red (if that's what you mean by "can't adjust color"), but otherwise you should have full control over colour by using preset scenes and triggering them with the four different buttons. Using a third party app is highly recommended, as the stock Philips app is frustratingly limited.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have the color blooms and two white lights. I have them in the same room but under two different room presets... One living room and one entertainment room on the app, and if I select that I want this switch to come from both preset rooms it will do so... On, off and dim. Hope that helps... Getting the app to recognize the switch was kind of a hassle... But it works now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dimmer can turn on, off, dim and brighten any hue light connected to the hue hub. You are correct you are not able to adjust colors.
