A simple search in the internet listed numerous cases of people installing these lights on covered porches, driveways and decks. They documented how these lights worked after brutal winter seasons. However, the question is: How long they work compare to lights installed indoor?

I would recommend those because they are waterproof and made for outside use. They have a variety of lights and you can even purchase the multi color ones as well. Keep in mind that you will need a bridge so buy a kit or purchase the phlips hue bridge separate. The best of luck and I hope I was able to help answer your question.
