“I have the system set up in another country and I connected it to the Internet it works fine when I’m there using the same network but when I come back home to the USA and I try to turn off and on it will not work Does the app has to be on the same networ”

I'm not sure but try doing it while being connect through a VPN. I know I don't have to be on the same network unless I'm using the home app on Iphone.

Yeah, I believe so. I’ve run into this a couple times and I’ve had to put on same network. Now it works.

No I can control them from work about 15 miles away and anywhere else I’m at as far as I know there on or off when I get home.

I don't believe this is app issue that would be more across the cell Network blocking it. Try to do it on a computer and see if that will allow you to control them from USA to other country.
