These bulbs are available in both standard base and the smaller candle base. Because the bulbs are very low wattage, they keep cool so you should be able to use them wherever you use any standard bulb.

Many variables cause the appearance of the bulbs output. The heat from any bulb above 40 watt is what the issue with your base is about. Since the LED light is only 9 Watts it is actually 31 Watts under your recommended wattage, so there will be no problem with replacing the bulb with this one.
