The Phillips Hue hub can manage up to 50 lights and switches. You don’t need to have a separate account, each bulb will show up under the name you give it when you set it up. Just to clarify, if you purchase six more bulbs, you can install them one at a time and the hub will recognize the bulb and flash that light, then you give it a name like Bedroom (and your name) or Living Room (and your spouse’s name). You do this with each new bulb and then you’ll know which bulb to ask the Amazon Echo to turn on or off. I have two Amazon Echo devices and either one can turn on any light that I ask it to, they’re at opposite ends of the house so if I’m in my sewing room I’ll ask the one I call Echo to turn on the porch lights if it’s getting dark, if I’m in the kitchen I ask the one I call Alexa to turn on the back light. I hope this helps. It’s very convenient and if we’re out and it gets dark I can turn the lights on by using my iPhone (it also works with Android devices).
