• The Philips bridge works with all Philips bulbs, color and white. I bought mine early 2017, and I believe mine is a Gen2 version.

• Yes. One Hue Bridge is able to control up to 50 bulbs, as long as they are paired properly, no matter what type (color ambient, strip lights, etc).
