You can use whatever you want. It also works with table lamp.

Please try again later.You can Use this Bulb in a table lamp or any Place you can Put a Regular Size Light Bulb it Is Wireless and has it's Own Serial Number and can be setup By itself with Phillips Hue Hub to Control it or You can use the battery powered Phillips Dimmable Switch which you can place anywhere to control it Which is the easiest Way to use it . I use my Amazon Echo with a Hue Bridge to Control Mine in A Bedroom Side Lamp . I simply Download the Amazon App and Hue Bridge App and follow the easy instructions .
