The Term "Wattage" is not so much an amount of output, as much as it is a measure of energy used.. In this case both products are compared to an equivalent 60 watt bulb for consumer sales specs. The older one is the cheaper one, the More expensive one is the newest one. As far as I can tell, Lumens is a BS term manufacturers use to describe how bright their lighting products are. I have bought many flashlights based on how bright they are per the manufacturer's statements of "lumens" and some are on brighter than others but should be at least twice as bright... Don't get caught up on Lumens... It's a Smoke and mirrors thing. In my case, I always pay the extra and buy the newest, as there's almost always something better about it. The Second gen units have a the newer Bridge in the kit. It is a Better bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it is very close, you won't tell much difference based on 40, unless you use it 24/7 then you will realize the energy difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine actually came with the 840 lumen bulbs. I have used the others before too. Not really much brightness difference between the two.
