• This is the same product except with frustration free packaging. Meaning the product comes packaged in only a brown cardboard box with no retail markings on the outside. I would definitely recommmend picking up this version and saving the cash as there is nothing else different.

• You need the starter kit if you do not own a Philips Bridge. The bridge comes with the starter kit and it is needed to communicate to the light bulbs. You can add up to 50 smart bulbs with the bridge too.
