Yes, these can be used with Alexa control devices. No, a hub is not required.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To use Hues you must purchase the hub. You then download the Hues app when you are setting it all up. The important takeaway is that you can not run these without the hub. Once you have installed the lights and downloaded the app you can run them through the app, through alexia enabled devices (which will take some basic setup in the alexia app), or through Hue accessories (ie motion sensor, or hue switch). You will keep the light switch in the on position or lights will not work.
