- Answer With the new Alexa Echo Plus Gen 2 you do NOT need a Hue bridge it is built in.

- Answer Yes they are. I have 8 of these bulbs and 8 of the gen 3 multicolored bulbs all throughout my house, and they’re all dimmable. The difference is these are only white in color and the others can be changed to any custom color you want.

- Answer You would just add all your light bulbs to a group under you Alexa app. Example if your bedroom light takes four bulbs you could group them all together "Alexa... Bedroom light on" Hope that answers your question

Questionare these lights certified to go in an outdoor lamp post and side garage door light fixtures?

- Answer No but they have outdoor rated lights available. These are strictly indoor use only. They would work if not exposed to the elements ; say like a sunroom or garage but I wouldn’t use them in and outdoor setting. I would the use out door specific bulbs for an application such as a front or back porch lighting scenario. The outdoor bulbs are. Around the same price so not a huge deal breaker cash wise.

- Answer I do not have a hub. I have them in all the bathrooms above the sink. My floor lamps and outside on the patio. Works with Alexsa flawlessly. I have them pre programmed and I use them on command.

- Answer Yes, you will have to purchase the Smart Hub to operate your lights with the Hue App or Alexa. Unfortunately, the Echo Show 5 does not have a Zigbee smart home hub built in. However, if you have an Echo Plus or regular Echo Show, you can use their built in hubs to operate the lights.

- Answer No, you just put them in and if you have hue bridge they all work, but can work independently or as a group.

- Answer I'm not familiar with Harmony hub. My understanding is the hub is what you need in order to operate items in your home. That being said, the Harmony hub should list light bulbs that it is compatible with. So to answer your question, you don't need a hub but you do need to find out what bulbs work with Harmony!

- Answer You have to buy that specific bull. White is white only. Phillips does have a bull that can change "tone" from cool to warm, but not these bulbs.

- Answer No. Phillips Hue Lights require a Phillips Hue Bridge. If you have a Wink or SmartThings Hub they can control these lights via the Phillips Bridge so you can use just one App to control everything but you have to have that Phillips Hue Bridge.
