- Answer Yes, works with my Home and Mini. I have 8 bulbs total around the house. You can add a lot, I doubt many would run into that issue.

QuestionWhy isn't there any really bright white lights like a regular 100 watt bulb shines like ? All the Phillips hue smart bulbs are low lumens. I haven't seen one yet that throws off a bright white light.

- Answer The 2nd and 3rd version bulbs have different white settings. One setting is bright white. It might be what you are looking for.

- Answer You will need a hub to control the lights. The Echo Dot does not have the capability built in.

- Answer I use them for lighting my carport at night and it gets pretty hot here. As for the -5°, I am unsure.

- Answer They will flicker if you install the bulbs in a 3 way switch circuit. Hue will not warranty the bulb if installed in this application. If not keep an eye on it, if it worsen call Hue tech support and they will replace it as long its under the warranty period.
