Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they can be used anywhere they can be screwed into a socket and controlled by a switch. You will turn the switch on and leave it on this will take some getting used to. From personal experience it helps to tape the light switch in the on position until you get used to it. Once you set up the app and or Google home then you can turn it off with the app and have it come on when you talk to Google or when you set up a routine or just use the app directly. plan ahead though make sure everything is within Wi-Fi range of the router that comes with the starter kit. This router will hold up to 50 lights. And you can have as many routers as you need.
