This bulb is comparable to the gen3 hue color when it comes to "white" output. They aren't significantly brighter than a gen3 hue color set to white mode. That being said, I would say the output is somewhere near that of a 60 watt light at least.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a normal Philips led bulb that says 800 lumens. I have this supposed 800 lumen Philips hue bulb. The hue color changing bulb is nowhere near as bright. These 2 bulbs even look exactly the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 4 of these A19 and 8 of the larger white ones. They are comparable to what i call the daylight bulbs I get to produce a much better bright white. I also have the colored bulb and I do agree the bright white on the $49 a19 color bulbs is not as "white" as the cheaper bulbs. I really like the fact I can set the scenes and adjust from say daylight to the soft white.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I replaced a regular 60 watt bulb with these and the light on high is about the same.

You purchased 3 HUE color bulbs. By definition Hue is a color or or SHADE. Applying that it reads 3 SHADE color bulbs. The sun isn't bright in the shade. Another clue is Ambience ;it is one that sets a mood, gives an impression, or look. Not bright. ~ They are doing what they are designed to do. You just picked up the wrong bulb for your job. They have others. Check packaging
