Do you need the bridge for the bloom or just the go? null

HI, yes you need it, you can have only the bloom but you won't be able to control it. So in order to control, adjust and set up any changes, of the bloom, iris, or any other bulb or lite of these kind you'll need the bridge, thats the one that connects them to your WiFi, in order to control them all. Also you'll need the free app for your smartphone or tablet. I hope I helped.

Yes, this connects to your Hue bridge. I don't believe it can be used on its own.

You need a bridge to control a bloom. The GO you "can" control without a bridge by using the physical buttons on the GO

Yes a bridge is needed. I had to wait for my starter kit to come in the mail from Best Buy. After the bridge was hooked up, the bloom worked great. Awesome backlight for the television.
