Can it be used for an outdoor covered porch light null

You can but be advised they will short our if you power wash you enclosures and they get wet or if it rains. We have pretty good enclosures and have had Phillips lights out side for years now and occasionally I have to replace. But for the convenience of the smart light its a fair trade.

I live in an area with mild weather, but yes, I have used mine in a recessed lighting/covered patio scenario.
