It has many different color zones on one light strand.  Really customizable.

The most direct answer is up to five.

There are three different settings or modes to pick from the app, allowing you to choose different points on the color palette. "Scattered" is five points, or "zones", you chose as desired. "Linear" is a gradient along a path of three points you define. "Mirror" is a color chosen along the path that reverses at the mid-point of the string.

This strip changes color in multiple zones just like any gradient list strip would.
